PRIVACY STATEMENT

We value your privacy. We do not collect information on you other than what you provide us to enable completion of purchase and trade transactions. This information includes, but is not limited to: your name, address, telephone number (for Fedex Ground shipping purposes), and email address. We may use this information to send you notices of website updates, special sales, and information on local area doll shows we will be at. If you do not wish to receive this type of notices, please let us know . We do not share our mailing list with other businesses or groups.

TO PLACE AN ORDER

A MINIMUM ORDER OF $25 BEFORE SHIPPING AND HANDLING IS NECESSARY TO PROCESS AN ORDER. IF YOU PLACE AN ORDER LESS THAN $25, YOUR PAYMENT WILL BE REFUNDED.

Our shopping cart and payments are processed through PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account in order for your order to be processed. If an item is not available, we will let you know and issue a refund.

Shipping rates quoted by our shopping cart are for delivery to addresses within the continental U.S. only. For orders to be delivered outside the continental U.S. -- Alaska, Hawaii, APO, U.S. territories and international/overseas -- please email us for a shipping quote. Or you may place a shopping cart order and we will email you with the shipping quote and invoice you for your balance.

If you do not wish to use the shopping cart, you may also place an order by emailing us with your order. Please refer to "Forms of Payment Accepted" on how to pay for your order.

We will hold the item(s) for five (5) business days after we respond to your inquiry. If you do not confirm your order within this period, we will send you a reminder email and give you two (2) business days to confirm your order. If we do not receive a response to this reminder, we will release the hold on the item(s).

FORMS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED

We accept the following forms of payment:

  1. Money order or cashier's check
  2. Personal or bank check
  3. Remittances via PayPal. We accept account balance transfers (payable to paypalcash@manika.com) and credit card payments (payable to paypalcredit@manika.com)
  4. If you do not have a PayPal account, we can process credit card payments (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover) by email, telephone or fax. Please email us for information and instructions on how to remit credit card payments.

The appropriate sales tax (based on zip code/county) will be charged on items that are shipped to addresses in Ohio. A 6.25% sales tax will be charged on items that are shipped to addresses in Illinois. For our international customers, we accept only PayPal and credit cards for forms of payment.

SHIPPING (CONTINENTAL U.S.)

We ship via USPS and Fedex Ground. For orders shipped to addresses in Ohio that are processed through the shopping cart, a default 7.5% sales tax will be charged. The appropriate sales tax will be charged and any overpayment of the sales tax will be refunded. We charge a flat shipping/handling amount based on the total amount of your purchase. Orders shipped to addresses in Illinois are charged a 6.25% sales tax.

We normally ship on Tuesdays and Saturdays. If your instant payment (PayPal, money order or credit card) clears on Saturday through Monday, we will ship your order on the coming Tuesday; otherwise, we will ship your order on the following Monday. Please let us know when you place your order if you have a special need for expedited delivery. We reserve the right to hold shipments for up to fourteen (14) business days until personal checks clear the bank. You will receive an email after we ship your order confirming the shipping and to give you any tracking information available.

SHIPPING (INTERNATIONAL/OVERSEAS)

If you are ordering for shipping to locations outside the continental U.S., you may email us with your zip code or country. We will provide you with the shipping and handling quote. We charge a nominal $3.00 handling fee for an order (any number of items). Insurance is mandatory on all purchases over $50. For orders over $50, we will ship only using USPS Express Mail International Service (EMS) and Priority Mail International. For orders $250 and over, we will ship EMS. For our international buyers, we accept only PayPal (we can invoice you).

International buyers may also use our shopping cart (and choose PayPal for payment), but there will be NO shipping cost charged at check-out. Instead, we will email you with a special link which will have your shipping options and costs. You may choose your shipping option and check-out at that webpage. Minimum shipping/handling charge will be $7.00.

All orders will be declared as "Merchandise" and will be declared at full value on the customs declaration. Buyers will be responsible for any tariff or duty that may be imposed by their countries on these orders.

LAYAWAYS

We are more than happy to accommodate layaway or installment plans for regular-priced items that are $150 and higher, if it will help you.

  1. The layaway period is for a maximum of 30 days (or 1 month).
  2. Prices of the layaway items are set and firm.
  3. Sale and clearance items are not eligible for layaway.
  4. 30% deposit must be made within five (5) business days after the layaway is set up to secure the layaway plan, with final payment due in 30 days (or 1 month).
  5. If the final payment is missed, we will cancel the layaway and charge a 10% restocking fee. Effective July 11, 2007: Deposits for layaways and preorders are not refundable and will not be credited towards a future purchase.
  6. Layaway items cannot be changed and the time period cannot be extended, except for extenuating circumstances. Please contact us right away to explore alternate arrangements.

HOLDS

We are also more than happy to hold item(s) for you. To secure a hold, we require a deposit of 30% (or $10.00, whichever is greater) within five (5) business days after you confirm your hold/order. We can hold items for you for a maximum of two weeks. If full payment is not made within that time, we will hold on to your deposit for credit towards a future purchase.

PRE-ORDERS

A deposit, specified in the item listing, is required for pre-orders (except for Licca Castle preorders, which require full payment with the pre-order). This deposit secures the item and is non-refundable unless we are not able to fulfill the pre-order.

  1. We will email or phone you when the pre-ordered item is available and the same terms and policies for placing an order will apply. The deposit will be credited towards the purchase price of the pre-ordered item.
  2. You may cancel your pre-order before you receive our email or phone call informing you of availability of the pre-ordered item. Effective July 1, 2007: deposits for preorders and layaways are not refundable and cannot be applied towards a future purchase.
  3. We reserve the right to require a higher non-refundable deposit on future pre-orders from customers who have regularly cancelled pre-orders in the past.

RETURNS

In the unlikely event you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for credit or exchange. However, please note our conditions for returns:

  1. You must email us within 48 hours after receipt of your purchase to get return authorization and instructions. We get tracking service on all our shipping so please take note of your date of receipt. All returns must be received by us with a return authorization number.
  2. The item(s) must be returned unopened in the original shipping carton and packing materials (foam, peanuts, packing paper, etc).
  3. If the reason for the return is any of the following: we sent you the wrong item, the item was damaged (see below for details), or we inadvertently misrepresented the item (for example, we had the incorrect picture on our website), we will refund you for the return shipping and insurance cost.
  4. If the reason for the return is you decided not to keep the item, you will shoulder the return shipping and insurance cost and you will be charged a 25% restocking fee.
  5. The following items are not returnable: "never removed from box" (NRFB) items that have been opened; sale and clearance items; and pre-ordered Licca Castle dolls.
  6. Although returning merchandise is generally not a problem, we reserve the right to refuse accepting returns.
  7. For damaged items, we reserve the right to refuse giving credit for the item and shipping costs if we feel that the item was not damaged during shipping.

MISCELLANEOUS TERMS

  1. Pricing and availability of items are subject to change without notice.
  2. All trademarks used in the descriptions of items for sale are the exclusive properties of the trademark owners. We are not affiliated with any of these trademark owners/companies, and the contents of this website do not in any way represent them.
  3. The contents of this website are protected by copyright. If you wish to use the information in this website, please do not copy the pictures or contents verbatim. You may paraphrase or reword content, such as the description of the dolls. Please email us to request permission to use pictures or content. We reserve the right not to grant permission.
